Does the $16 charge for a notarized document include the principal's signature?

Yes.  If a document is notarized you will only be charged for the online notarization fee of $16 and will not be charged an additional amount for the electronic signature of the principal (the signing party).  For example, you bring a client to a Notary.io session to sign and have your online notary notarize an affidavit - your charge will be $16.

Explain the session and notarization "cap" per session

A "session" is the event (video conference) when and where parties meet on the Notary.io platform at the scheduled date/time to review documents, sign documents and conduct online notarizations.  An online notarization occurs when an authorized notary conducts notarial acts online and affixes the notary's electronic seal to the notary's certificate. During a session that involves multiple online notarizations your account will be charged for the first three online notarizations ($16 x 3 online notarization = $48 per session cap).  You will not be charged for online notarizations conducted in that same session that exceed the three online notarizations for which you have been charged up to a total of fifteen online notarizations in that same session (online notarization 4-15 in that session would be free of charge).  

Explain further Level 1, 2 and 3 digital signing

For those documents that only require electronic or digital signing (and do not require an online notarization) and may require other input such as dates, boxes checked or other input we only charge per document uploaded for a session.  Any authorized user on you company account can upload these documents for a session and designate that they are electronic or digital signing documents.  You should not use this digital signing designation if your document requires an online notarization since documents requiring notarizations have a separate designation that will allow online notarizations to occur.  Level 1, 2 and 3 pricing for digital signing is based on the number of digital signing documents your account uploads each month and your account document counter resets on the first day of the month.  So, in any given month uploaded session digital signing documents in your account 1 through 49 will be charged at $3 each, 50 through 249 at $2 each and 250 through 500 at $1 each.  

Explain requirements for Business Account and Personal Account

Pricing is the same for both Business and Personal accounts. Business accounts must be established for law firms and companies providing the full entity name and EIN number, authorized method of payment and an administrative contact with authority to invite company employees and employee/notaries on to the platform under the business account. Business accounts receive invoices monthly. Personal accounts are established for "active" commissioned traditional notaries and online notaries for only those states serviced by Notary.io, such as mobile notaries, who provide required identification and a valid credit card that will automatically be billed at the time sessions with online notarization and/or digital signing occurs and charges are incurred.  Both Business and Personal accounts requiring x.509 certificates for online notaries associated with an account will be charged $25 for each x.509 certificate issued.
